The role of the ACC awards system is to recognize those who have made significant contributions in furthering the aims and goals of the Alpine Club of Canada and Canadian mountaineering in general. This year's award recipients provide outstanding examples of the quality of volunteerism and club stewardship in the Alpine Club of Canada.

The Awards Committee meets each winter to review all nominations received, and makes its recommendations to the Board of Directors by early March. Award recipients are announced by early April and are presented with their awards at the Club's spring Annual General Meeting in May.

Visit the 'Awards Process' page for more information on the nomination and committee process including an annual timeline of nomination deadlines.
