The Chinook

The Chinook is the newsletter of the Calgary Section, now published bi-monthly. The Chinook contains reports of recent climbing or ski trips, notes from the section executive, news from the National Club office, the minutes of the most recent monthly section meetings, and other items of interest to section members. Starting in December 2000, the Chinook has been available online, in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

The Calgary Section usually doesn't publish in the summer. In the winter either the "December" or the "January" edition not published.

Any article relating to the Club or the mountains is welcome. The submission deadline for articles for any given month is the section meeting (third Tuesday) of the prior month. If possible, submit articles on computer disk. Always include a printed copy of your article along with your disk. E-mail submissions or enquiries may be made to the Chinook Editor. Typed and handwritten articles are also welcome. Submissions become the property of The Alpine Club of Canada and are subject to editing for space and content. Disks are returned at the section meetings.
