The Calgary section uses weekly e-mails to communicate upcoming matters with its members. The weekly news email is referred to as The Breeze. These news briefs are sent out every M onday or Tuesday.

Items addressed in the weekly e-mails include:

• Information on discounted skills and safety courses.
• Schedules for monthly meetings and accompanying slide shows.
• Access and environment topics.
• Upcoming events relevant to Calgary section members.
• News that may be of interest to the membership.
• Outdoor, climbing, alpine equipment for sale, posted by members.
• Upcoming events relevant to Calgary section members.

Beginning April 2004:

• All Calgary Section members who have registered their e-mail address with the Alpine Club of Canada National Office will receive the weekly e-mails automatically.
• Calgary section members who have not registered their e-mail address with the Alpine Club of Canada National Office, and who wish to receive the weekly Calgary Section e-mails, must contact the office at (403) 678-3200 or officemanager@alpineclubofcanada.ca and provide the relevant information.
• Members who wish to opt out of the email newsletters you may do so by visiting and logging in to the Calgary Section website schedule and editing his preferences page.
• Non-section members, or members whose memberships have expired, will be removed from the mailing list. You must be a current Calgary section member to receive the weekly e-mails. To join the Alpine Club of Canada Calgary Section, and receive the weekly e-mails, please apply online.
