2011-12 Ski weeks with availability |
Due to their popularity, ski weeks at Bill Putnam (Fairy Meadow) Hut and Kokanee Glacier Cabin are awarded through a lottery system. For more info on the Lotteries visit: Bill Putnam (Fairy Meadow) Hut lottery and Kokanee Glacier Cabin lottery. Updated: December 9, 2011 Limited spaces are still available on the following ski weeks. Please contact Earl Takahashi, Facilities Manager at 403 678 3200 ext. 104 or by e-mail at: to book. These non-guided, non-catered weeks are $875/week/person and include helicopter flights in and out of the hut and your accommodation. Please contact Earl for a quote on the guided, catered weeks.
Shoulder season dates at Fairy Meadow & Kokanee Dates outside of the lottery dates, before December 24 and after May 12 are available to book on a first come first serve basis. The cost of the hut is $30 - $41/person/night and does NOT include helicopter costs. These trips are not subject to the same blocks of time (ie. 6 nights/7days) and can be booked for as long/short a time that you would like to go, as long as the heli companies can work within the dates that you are proposing. Groups wishing to book these dates need to contact the ACC to see if the times are available and then contact the helicopter companies that service these areas to confirm that they can fly at these times, before the ACC will make an official booking. For Bill Putnam (Fairy Meadow) Hut contact Alpine Helicopters in Golden at 250-344-7444. For Kokanee Glacier Cabin contact Range Helicopters 250-505-2150 (You can fly out of Kaslo for a cheaper rate or Nelson.) or High Terrain 250-354-8445 (Nelson). |
