The Wendy Thompson hut is located in the Marriott Basin, north of Whistler, B.C. It is approximately a 1 hour drive from Whistler to the trailhead, then a 2 - 3 hour hike or ski in. This loaction provides extensive ski-touring opportunities. there are also a number of peaks in the vicinity.

The hut is a two-storey gothic arch design, with room for 16 people in the upper floor. There is a separate outhouse, with a barrel collection system. The hut provides some cooking equipment and utensils, as well as a kerosene heater.

Currently, there is a $10/member or $12/non-member fee to use the hut, and reservations are required. These can be made by phoning (604) 902-1772.

Rates subject to change without notice.

In an effort to protect the local environment, human waste will be flown out periodically during the year. In addition, the hut will need regular maintenance, as it has proven to be extremely popular in its first two years of existence. It is for this reason that the fee system has been instituted.
