Hiking and Mountaineering Destination in Kokanee Glacier Park

Like its sister hut, Silver Spray Cabin, the Woodbury Cabin  is a great destination for strong hikers and mountaineers looking to explore this rugged and scenic corner of Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. Kokanee Park is located in southeastern British Columbia’s Selkirk Mountains, a short distance north of Nelson. The hut has propane cooking, lighting and a wood stove for heat. Cookware, dishes and cutlery are provided and sleeping is in the loft area on foam pads.

ACC Hut in BC Parks

The Woodbury Cabin is one of five huts operated by the ACC which reside in the BC Parks jurisdiction. ACC Membership is not required to advance book or receive a discounted rate at these huts.

Other Huts in the Area

Connecting the Woodbury Cabin and the Silver Spray Cabin is a great one-day high level adventure for the experienced backcountry traveller.

Woodbury Cabin fact: The hut is uniquely designed to deflect avalanches, which is a good thing as it’s been hit twice in recent years.
