Newsletter: Montage

The interests of our members cover a wide range of activities from hiking to backcountry skiing to serious mountaineering.  We are the most eastern section of the ACC, with about 250 members, both French and English speaking.  Our regular activities are centered around the Montréal area and the mountain ranges of Quebec, New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.  Our Section actively runs outings, courses, socials, a newsletter ("The Montage") and maintains a website for current information.

The Montréal Section owns 105 acres of meadow and woodlands in the Adirondack Forest Preserve in New York State.  The property, known as Keene Farm, has a large two-storey log cabin which accommodates up to 35 people.  It is open year round with a wood stove and propane gas heating and cooking.  The Section also rents a ski house in the lower Laurentian Mountains just north of Montréal that serves for skiing and winter outings.
