The ACC has a number of financial funds that are administered by various committees and used to achieve the objectives of the individual committees.

Members are encouraged to donate to any ACC fund, as it is solely through donations that these funds exist and grow.

Bev Bendell Library Conservation Fund

The Bev Bendell Library Conservation Fund is committed to the growth and enhancement of the Club's library collection. The Library Conservation Fund was established in 1993 from an initial donation by Mrs. Marcella Bell with a mandate to apply conservation measures to our older books and to preserve the library for the future. Monies from the fund are also used to purchase new and out-of-print mountain-related books. Books may be donated to the library and those which duplicate existing holdings are offered for sale. The proceeds of book sales go to the Bev Bendell Library Fund. Donations of books are valued at current market prices and a tax receipt is issued to the donor.

Long-time member and A.O. Wheeler Award recipient, Bev Bendell donated $100,000 to the Club in 2007. Since Bev is a professional librarian and was the Club's volunteer librarian for several years, it was decided to use her donation to create a permanent library fund. This fund is administered by the Mountain Culture Committee, who use the annual investment income from the fund to purchase new books for the Club, and/or publish new books and/or use the monies in other library/book related ways in which they see fit.

Eric Brooks Memorial Fund

The Eric Brooks Memorial Fund was established to support the publication of the Canadian Alpine Journal. Eric Brooks was a teacher by profession and joined the ACC in 1929. Until his death in 2001, Eric devoted much of his energy to the Club. He acted for many years as the Camp Manager of the General Mountaineering Camp and in 1937 he was awarded the Silver Rope. He was elected President of the ACC in 1941 and Honorary President from 1954 to 1964. Eric represented the Club at the Alpine Club centenary in London where he was made an Honorary Member. In 1995 he was awarded the A.O. Wheeler Legacy Award and in 2005 an ACC volunteer award was renamed the Eric Brooks Leader Award in his honour.

Facilities Fund

Monies in the Facilities Fund are used to facilitate renovations to the ACC Clubhouse in Canmore, AB, and the Club's national level huts in British Columbia and Alberta.

Leadership Development Fund

Created in 1997, the Leadership Development Fund is used to support activities and programs undertaken by the Alpine Club of Canada to develop and train amateur mountaineering leaders. These activities and programs are also supported by The North Face .

Mountain Culture Fund

The purpose of the Mountain Culture Fund is to celebrate the Club’s relevance to Canadian culture through the presentation of literature, art, history and heritage and mountain related science in accordance with the mandate of the Mountain Culture Committee and the goals and objectives of the Alpine Club of Canada.

Louise Guy Commemoriative Fund

Created in 2010 through memorial donations from the Guy family and ACC members as well as an operational surplus, the purpose of Louise Guy Commemoriative Fund is to provide ongoing funding for the training of amateur leaders for the annual General Mountaineering Camp (GMC).

Louise Guy, who died on September 30, 2010 at the age of 92, was one of the Club's most cheerful, generous and delightful members. Louise was an energetic mountain companion who took up climbing in her 50s and continued to climb into her ninth decade. Thanks to Louise's efforts, the annual General Mountaineering Camp was rescued from a very near demise in the mid-1980s.
