Members' Survey

In 2006, the Alpine Club of Canada celebrated its Centennial. One of the many activities that was part of our celebrations was to ask our members what their thoughts were on the services provided by the Club and what needs they felt were unfulfilled.

After an extensive search, the Club selected the University of Alberta's Population Research Lab as a partner to assist with this survey. The online survey, which was conducted in October 2006, was advertised to our membership through Section newsletters and meetings, our Club’s national newsletter The Gazette and through email invitations to members in our database. The response rate by our members greatly exceeded our expectations.

I encourage you to read the information that came from this valuable survey. This is just one instrument to help the Club leaders provide for its members as we enter our second century. The Club is member driven and we need to hear from you if you have any suggestions for making the Club a success for the next 100 years. Please send your suggestions to:
