ACC Facilities coronavirus information
The ACC national office phone lines will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
June 1 Update: We have cancelled all existing hut bookings and we will be announcing a phased re-opening of our huts in the coming days with new policies and new booking procedures
Update: On March 13, 2020, The Alpine Club of Canada made the difficult decision to suspend all backcountry hut operations until June 13, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Please know that we’re doing everything that we can to get our backcountry huts reopened in the safest way possible as soon as we can.
Today we’re announcing that, until further notice, we will not be accepting new reservations as we plan and prepare to implement Health Canada guidelines and protocols in our backcountry huts.
We’re committed to operating our hut network safely and we are reassessing our guidelines for hut use. We ask for your patience as we put these new policies and guidelines into place.
If you have a current hut booking that will be affected by the new guidelines we’re working on, we’ll reach out to you soon with more information. Otherwise, stay tuned for future announcements.

March 13 update: All ACC hut maintenance operations, including hut service, firewood stocking and hut repairs, have been suspended. All ACC backcountry huts will be locked during this suspension of operations. Travel in the backcountry at this time is not recommended.
The Canmore Clubhouse properties (Clubhouse, Bell Cabin, Boswell Cabin) will remain closed until June 13, 2020. We are asking our guests with reservations to not call the hostel at this time, and to wait for our staff to reach out to you. Standard cancellation fees apply.
We are asking our guests to watch this page, and ACC social media channels, for updates regarding the resumption of hut booking services.
