Expedition-Style Winter Camping and a Remote Rockies Wilderness Make for a True Adventure Experience
Whether it's ski lifts, helcopters, mountain huts or porters, it's rare that modern, multi-day, alpine ski excursions are truly independent and self-powered. Our ACC ski camping Adventures change all that. Once at the trailhead, it's you and your guide in the wilderness carrying all of your own food and camping equipment.
This season, we'll be visiting the Brazeau Icefield in Jasper National Park. Despite it's incredible beauty, the remoteness of the area means it's highly likely you won't see another group during the course of the camp. And you'll have the chance to reach the rarely climbed summits of Mount Henry MacCleod, Valad Peak and Mount Brazeau which towers at 3,470m.
The ACC will provide highly experienced guides, light and nutritious food, as well as sturdy tents and cooking equipment. But beyond this, the aim of the camp is to get you fully involved, helping hands-on with everything from routefinding to camp setup to snow stability assessments. Combined with coaching and mentorship, we feel this is the best way to teach you the expedition skills needed to complete ski camping trips independently in the future.
