Rod Plasman

Rod Plasman has been leading summer hiking, scrambling, sport
climbing and winter ski trips for the Rocky Mountain Section for the
past 22 years. He is a longtime contributor to the Section’s Hikers In
Training (HIT) and Backcountry Skiers In Training (BIT) programs. Not
only is Rod extremely knowledgeable about weather systems, avalanche
conditions and navigation, he is also a very competent and patient
teacher who takes great pleasure and satisfaction in sharing his
knowledge with others. He is an extremely responsible and reliable trip
leader for the RMS.
Rod Plasman was awarded the Alpine Club of Canada’s Silver Rope for Leadership in 2013 and Distinguished Service Award in 2002.
