• Traveling in the Kokanee Glacier Park backcountry area in winter is recommended only for advanced-intermediate and expert skiers with backcountry experience.
• Huts are booked on an exclusive, whole hut, basis. Capacities, group compositions, number of users, or vaccination requirements could vary due to provincial restriction or for any reason.
• The Alpine Club of Canada is working in conjunction with BC Parks to resolve capacity concerns at Kokanee Glacier Cabin. At this time, the maximum capacity remains set at 8 guests, however we are hopeful, but offer no guarantee, for a return to a maximum capacity of 15 guests before the start of the 2022/23 ski weeks. Confirmation of capacity is anticipated in early September and will be communicated to lottery winners prior to any payments being made.
  Any lottery entrant should plan on a maximum capacity of 8 at the Kokanee Glacier Cabin. If the maximum capacity changes and a lottery winner does not wish to travel with 15 guests, a refund for their lottery entries may be provided.
• Rates are dependant on the total capacity of Kokanee Glacier Cabin. If the maximum capacity remains at 8 guests, the rate will be $10,800 per week. If the maximum capacity returns to 15 guests, the rate will be $20,250.
• Reservations are per week for a whole cabin booking, including return flights, 7 nights accommodation, and taxes. Travel days are Saturdays with departures from Nelson, BC.
• The maximum weight for all items (other than people) is 100 lbs per person. All baggage will be weighed and your group may be asked to leave gear behind if your group is over the weight limit. Your group will be charged for additional helicopter flights that are required due to excessive weight or bulk.
• It is not permitted to operate an advertised commercial venture within Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. Individuals may hire professional guides for their trips, but guides may not book and resell places at the hut.

Winter 2021/22 lottery dates and times:

• The lottery opens for applications on July 15, 2022  and closes at midnight MST on August 31, 2022.
• All winners and the first two runners-up for each week of the lottery will be contacted by September 15th, 2022. Please do not contact the ACC to see if you’ve won.
• If the winner accepts the week, their deposit must be received by September 20th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) MST.
• Weeks that are declined by the lottery winners will be made available to that week’s first runners-up on September 22nd, 2022. The deposit deadline for first runners-up is September 27th, 2022, 12:00 p.m. (noon) MST.
• Weeks that are declined by the first runners-up will be made available to that week’s second runners-up on September 29th, 2022. The deposit deadline for second runners-up is October 4th, 2022, 12:00 p.m. (noon) MST.
• All space not secured by winners and runner-ups will be available for general booking on October 11, as announced in the Hut Insider Newsletter.

• When your booking is confirmed, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.
• Final payment is due 90 days prior to trip departure.
• Post-dated cheques will be accepted for final payments if arrangements are made at time of booking.
• The ACC reserves the right to cancel bookings without notice in the case of late payments.
• All payments are to be made in one payment. We do not accept partial payments.
• Pricing is subject to change without notice.

• All payments for ski weeks are 100% non-refundable once processed.
• The ACC does not refund or discount any ski week bookings due to weather, flight delays or other situations beyond our control.
• The Alpine Club of Canada reserves the right to cancel any trip.
• Dates are non-transferable.

• The Alpine Club of Canada strongly recommends Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance for ski week bookings.
• The ACC sells Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance through TuGo that provides coverage for a variety of unexpected travel expenses.
