These training courses help develop the club’s amateur leaders across the country who have demonstrated commitment to leading trips and outings for their local sections. Through this program, The North Face has played an enormous role in making climbing and skiing trips happen at our 25 sections across the country.

Our First Summits courses have served as an introduction to mountaineering for hundreds of ACC members and have launched many into a lifetime of mountain adventures. We are proud to name Petzl as the ACC’s Official Rope Partner. Petzl supplies the climbing ropes for the national club’s guided camps and for the club’s 25 local sections and their climbing programs. The ACC uses exclusively Petzl ropes on our climbing and glacier adventures.
