Powder Program

Our backcountry skiing and splitboarding program is all about giving you the best possible chance of shredding the pow, whether that’s on a camp itself, or giving you the skills to do it safely and independently afterwards. And with our hugely popular on-staff ski guide Doug Latimer, we’ve got all the knowledge and expertise to make it happen.

These programs are not learn-to-ski programs. You should be comfortable skiing/ boarding at resorts and have a reasonable base fitness (skiing uphill is hard work!). We also recommend that all folks heading into the backcountry during periods with avalanche hazard take an AST 1 course and to continue educating yourself about safe travel through avalanche terrain. An AST 1 or Equivalent is the minimum required avalanche safety experience for our powder courses. Except for our Intro to Backcountry Skiing/ Split-boarding offers those do not require a AST 1.
